Right after I post today's blog, I realised that my blog on Halloween is gone! One of those computer glitches I guess. Luckily I saved a version in my computer, so here it is again!
Halloween is upon us again! It seems that the annual Halloween party (our 3rd party) has become something of a family tradition for us. This year, Halloween falls on a school day (AGAIN!), so we have to start and finish early so the kids can go to bed on time. The poor CIS kids have to wake up at 6.30am for school!
In addition to our friends’ kids, this year we also invited some of Tasha’s classmates. Unfortunately, only 3 say yes. Apparently many children go to bed between 7 to 8pm! That’s really early for us. If Tasha goes to bed at 7pm, I will never see her during the weekdays.
Some of the children came straight after school. After finishing their Chinese homework (Chinese on Tuesday), we started the party by decorating a Halloween gingerbread house. As my photographer (aka Daddy) did not make it home early and I have my hands full of icing, I was unable to take any photos of the decorating of the gingerbread house. I do however have a photo of the end product.
This year Tasha is supposed to be Lazy Town Stephanie with a pink wig. At the last minute, she decided that the wig is too small and too itchy. So, she ended up an imperfect Stephanie……..but as long as she is happy…..what can I say.
After dinner, I took out my new toy to impress the kids – my candy floss machine! And it did its trick, kids can’t have enough! I am the envy of all the mothers (hehehee).
As with last year, we celebrated Andrea’s 2nd birthday by having a photo session with all the kids in costume before they go out trick-or-treating. This year, I made a ladybird cake to go with her ladybird costume. They look cute together.
