Learning to Swim

In May, Grandpa and Grandma Lee spent a month with us. During this time, Grandpa Lee set about trying to teach Andrea how to swim. As we all know, Andrea is not the easiest kid to teach. After a failed attempt while we were at Pangkor for Easter break where Andrea turned the other way every time she sees Grandpa coming towards her in the swimming pool, we do not have very high hopes.

But things have a way of working itself out. After a few weeks of one-on-one lessons with Grandpa Lee, Andrea is able (or rather willing) to submerge her head under water and paddle! How far she swims (or paddles) depends on how long she can hold her breath. She has yet to learn how to breathe…….but who is complaining!!!
