The Chelat

Skiing is always more fun with friends and the children would agree with me. This is why we went to Meribel. There were 18 of us including 7 children and we have the entire chalet to ourselves! Which is great because then the children can run around freely and make as much noise as they want, beside I doubt if anyone else can survive staying with 7 children!

The Chalet

The best thing about a catered chalet is the cooked meals - 3 meals a day plus cakes for tea. Of course the quality of food depends entirely on the amount of money you are willing to part with and luck (of getting a good chef). Nevertheless, we made the best of what we were given. Each night, the greedy ones took turn to get extra wine (no one wanted the house wine provided by the chalet - we are spoiled), ham and cheese. This is in addition to the aperitifs and the hor d'ouvre we were being served!

Drea and Sara

And after dinner, the adults can have some meaningful and undisturbed conversation while the children entertained themselves.
