Tasha goes for Acupuncture

The air quality in HK during spring time is generally not very good. It was very bad last week. The rain which usually came with Ching Ming had stopped. The sky is looking very hazy.

Both Tasha and I have sinus. Mine started after Andrea was born. But since visiting this acupuncture doctor, it has improved tremendously. Tasha's used to be restricted to early mornings. In the past week, hers had gotten worse and she had problems breathing at night - blocked nose.

The blocked nose must have really bothered her. Usually when I mention acupuncture, she would dismissed it immediately. This time she is at least willing to consider.

Yesterday after work, I took Tasha to the doctor. She was ok all the way. We got there and were assigned to 2 adjacent beds. When I asked her to lay down on the bed, she started to cry. Nothing the doctor, his wife or I said could stop her. There were a couple of little patients there. A little boy, may be 4 or 5, came up to her to tell her that it was not painful and he is now better because of it. That calmed her down a bit but didn't stop her crying.

It took close to 30 minutes of reasoning, persuading and bribing (you will hear about this soon) before she stopped crying and agreed to try.

And guess what? She said "The one on my forehead is not painful at all! The ones next to my nose, only a little bit."

This is her with 7 needles on her:

See? Not painfully at all - she is chewing gum!

She will be going again today. 4 initial treatments required.
