Beijing Day 4: Summer Palace

On our last day full day in Beijing we visited the Summer Palace. I have never been there before but heard a lot of great reviews. However, when I was there, I was actually a little disappointed. It is hard to admire the beauty with the millions and millions of tourists around. The weather didn't help, it was a terribly hazy day.

The entrance

A very talented man sketching with a pen

See what I mean?

Surprised to see they have telephone back then

Walking through the long long corridor.....

Getting ready to climb to the temple on top of Longevity Hill, the highest building in summer palace.

Made it!

View from above!

Finally, the Marble Boat. Apparently, the funds used to build this was originally earmarked for the navy.....

After the Summer Palace, we had lunch at the Aman at Summer Palace. Food was good.
