After trekking the kids around the globe for many years, we finally decided that it was time to show the girls there is more to Malaysia than just shopping malls (KLLC and One Utama) and beach resorts! I was also quite excited about this trip as I have not been to many places in Malaysia myself, so this should be fun.
Having made this decision, it was left to me to plan to trip with one specific instruction from Geoff - make sure we get to eat all the good food.
Well, if this was going to be a food trip as well, then we definitely had to stop by Ipoh and Penang, the 2 food (be it street food) capitals of Malaysia. So, after consulting both the Lonely Planet (yes, even a Malaysian has to learn where to go) and the Star Street Food Guide, a rough itinerary was formed.
For this road trip, we wanted a speedier car but the kids vetoed us and insisted on the MPV ie Estima. For the entire trip, Geoff drove and I navigated, and the kids......had the time of their life RELAXING in the car!
Anyways, armed with my brother's GPS, we took off on our first Malaysian road trip!
