Day 14: La Jolla and Mission Beach

We drove to La Jolla, a up-scale coastal resort town, for a late breakfast. We didn't find the restaurant we read in the guide book but instead stumbled upon a little gem which made an incredible Crab Melt Sandwich.

After breakfast, we went for a walk along its pretty streets which were lined with designer cloths shops, gourmet chocolatiers and specialty stores.

Since our visit to Balboa Beach, the kids absolutely fell in love with beaches. And since, the coastline of San Diego County has about 70 miles of lovely sandy beaches, there is no excuse not to visit another one. Mission Beach is next on our agenda.

Like a seasoned "wave jumper", Tasha wasted no time and went straight into the water.

Tasha quickly made friends with some fellow wave jumpers.

As always, Andrea is happy to play with the sand
