Easter in France

Finally, I have finished sorting through our France photos. No choice I guess, if I don’t do it before we leave for New England, I will have massive backlog after the trip…..

Anyways, here is our French tale. During Easter, we took a break in France. Once again, Geoff refused to stay put for a week in Paris. After much negotiation, we finally agreed on a compromise - to spend 4 days in Burgundy and the rest in Paris.

The plan was to start our journey in Burgundy and then make our way back to Paris. So, after arrival, we collected our rental car and drove straight to Burgundy. On route, we visited the garden of Fontainebleau.

After the brief visit, we continue our journey further south to our first stop for this trip – Demeure de Loisy in Nuit St George. It is a very interesting bed and breakfast - a manor built in the 18th century ran by Comtesse Christine de Loisy (who sadly passed earlier in the year) and her daughter. When we got there, we were too jet-lagged to explore the place. The kids couldn’t even make it through to dessert – I don’t think the restaurant had seen anyone go through dinner so fast.
