Day 4: San Francisco

Today, we decided to venture into the city. Our first stop, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. It is free every first Tuesday of the month - today! But so many people. So, we decided just to wonder around the general exhibition area and pass on the Freda Kahlo exhibition.

The girls in front of their favourite piece

As with all of my visits to modern art museum (note: Geoff is the arty one, not me), after a while I get confused. It's worst when I have to explain them to Tasha! So, after a short walk around, we went to the Yerba Buena Garden opposite the SFMOMA.

Heart shape stuff is always popular with the girls

We walked around the garden, took some photos and stopped by the playground.

You may start to notice that most of the photos have Tasha and/or Nicole with their hands up. This was their favourite pose and nothing we said would make them stop doing it. But kids are kids, sometimes they forget and we were able to get a normal photo. They do look sweet together.

Geoff talking to a statue - I think it is time to check his sight

Then we ventured into Zeum - a place which encourages youngsters and artists in the design and creation of anything from planes, robots to buildings and sculptures. There were so many activities for the kids to do, they didn't want to leave.

Next, we drove up to Coit Tower. Tasha and Andrea were really excited to see this up close as they had seen this (as well as the Golden Gate Bridge) in the Little Einstein DVDs.

Some murals inside the Cote Tower:

We waited outside while Aunt Mathilda took Tasha and Nicole up to the top of the Coit Tower.
