Back to Tuscany

After 2 days at the Italian Riviera, we drove back to Tuscany. Before we left, we drove to Camogli (our friend's hometown) for a brief visit. We spent most of the day driving but did not forget a customary stop at a factory outlet outside Florence. As we approached Tuscany, it started to rain....again.

This time, our farm house is in a small village known as Valiano, near Montepulciano.....and we didn't have detailed instructions this time. I called the owner and he gave me some directions but we got lost again. He offered to come look for us. But all he asked was what car are you driving and what colour. Ooi! Fiat Bravo is a dime a dozen in Italy. Anyways, after asking around for directions in the rain with my limited Italian, we found Valiano. He came to pick us up (he did drive round trying to look for us) as the farm is off a small unmarked road.

The farm is known as Antico Podere. It consists of a main house where the owner lives and another which is converted into 5-6 apartments. Right after we unloaded, the sun came out and with it, the most beautiful rainbow!
