We left Tuscany for the last time and drove south to our base in Sorrento. Along the way, the scenery changed from lush and hilly to flat and dry once we passed Rome.

We arrived in the late afternoon. Once again, we freshened up and went for a walk into Sorrento town center. Sorrento is a much better base than say Positano or Amalfi because the town (most of it) is flat. This was where Tasha had her first Puffo gelato and got hooked. We have since been told by Uncle Luca that Puffo means Smurf. Now we know why it's Smurfy blue in colour! Apparently there is also a pink Smurfette gelato!

After 1 week in Italy, Tasha finally found a place that served lasagna. Most of the restaurants we went to do not offer lasagna. The only one that did in Santa margherita turned out green - lasagna in pesto sauce! So, she was really excited (lasagna is her favourite food).
