Disneyland with Drea

Tasha had her one-on-one time with me in Taipei and Drea opted for Disneyland instead. So, on a hot August morning, we made our way by train to the Disneyland Hollywood Hotel. We choose this hotel because we stayed in the other one a couple of years ago and we wanted to see what this one is like. In terms of deco, this one is more Disneyland like. However, as this is a slightly cheaper hotel, it is packed full with group tours!

Once we checked in (cannot get into room till after 3pm), collected our entry pass, we headed back to Disneyland. And we got there just in time for the Parade. It was WET and welcoming in such a hot day!



We went on whatever rides Drea wanted. The only annoying thing about the rides were the queues. It's normal to queue for rides but the Mainlanders have yet to get the hang of queueing and respect other people's personal space (they like sticking to your back) and to queue properly (and not moving forward when there's a space). It annoyed me that I had to tell them to get back in line.

That aside, we had some fun rides and at about 5, we made our way back to the hotel. During the summer, the firework came on at 9pm instead of 8pm. So, we initially planned to go back to our room, take a rest, a shower and then head back to the park for the fireworks. However, when we got to our room, we found out that we had been upgraded to a park view room, i.e we would be able to see the fireworks from our room! Yeah, we decided to stay in. We had our rest, we had dinner at the lough and went back up for the fireworks - completed with background music on channel 38! Bliss!

And she had been a good girl, trying everything on her tray. She had cream of sweet corn and mango pudding for the first time!

Since we didn't have to make our way back to hotel after the fireworks, Drea had time for a milk bath before bed!

The next day, we woke up rain. So, we slept in. Once the rain died down, we checked out and once again headed back to the Park. Not long after we got there, it started to pour again! So, we hid under an umbrella and waited for the weather to break.

Soon as the rain stopped, we headed to the rides again.
