Taking a rest at Harvard Yard

Tradition has it that if one touches the foot of John Harvard, one will likely come back to study in Harvard University - so, just as an insurance.....
With her glasses, Tasha looked like she belonged

It was such a hot day, the girls could resist the sprinkles
After Harvard, we checked into Hotel Commonwealth, one of the most child friendly hotels we have stayed in. We booked the Children's package. So, upon check-in, the kids were each given a welcome toy. And when we got to the room, bags full of goodies were waiting for them.....not to mention the cookies and milk at night!
A quick photo while waiting to check in
A view of Fenway Park from our room - pity we are not baseball fans
Kids playing with goodies from their bags
Once refreshed, we set out to explore Boston. We walked part of the Freedom Trial and ended in Faneuil Hall Market Place.

The next day, we walked to Fenway Park to catch the sight seeing trolley.

First stop, Beacon Hill..........once again, it was a hot day, so we took sanctuary in the shops.......may be not such a good idea.....

The famous Deluca's Market burnt down the night beforeCannot resist not taking a picture of this iconic sign. Who (of our age) had not watched Cheers, the whole trolley was singing the theme song! We were told, only the outside is used for the sitcom, the inside is totally different from the sitcom which is filmed entirely in the studio.

We also stopped of at Copley Square for a bite to eat and a walk around the Farmer's market at the square.
