Drea and I outside the General Store where the kids saw washing board (I haven't seen one since I was 10!), old style iron (those that do not run on electricity) for sale
Old medicine bottles in an old chemist. We learnt why old medicine bottles were of different colours. How interesting!
We also visited a typical home to see how people in the early 19th century lived.

The lady showed us what villages eat for lunch
A weaving machine
The vegetable garden
Next, the Children's Museum.

Then in Mallory Wing where the kids learnt to built canal, bridges as well as make a map.

Then a 19th century ship.

One of the main street where we visited a bank complete with a vault, a print shop (now we know why the newspaper is called the press) and the shipsmith shop.

Since the Mystic Seaport was more interesting than we had anticipated, we spent extra time here and had to forgo New Haven and drove straight to NYC after this.
